Our Story

Maria Mehfil was created for the Pakistani diaspora growing up, living, and building lives across the United States and Canada.

For many of us, home is not just one place. It lives in the way Urdu and English mix naturally in the same sentence, in the chai sitting on the counter, in the cousin group chat that never really sleeps, and in the familiar phrases that can bring back an entire memory in one second. It is the feeling of carrying Pakistan with you, even while building a life somewhere else.

The word “mehfil” means a gathering, but to us it feels warmer than that. It is the energy of family dinners, late-night conversations, wedding season chaos, and the jokes only your people understand.
